This David Yurman ad campaign photo with Du Juan came out really late in the game. It was published in the May 2009 issue of (US) Town & Country Magazine. So is it really a Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign?

The aesthetic of this photo is really different from the other photos in the Spring/Summer 2009 ads. Could this be a preview of the Fall 2009/Winter 2010 campaign? If so, woohoo for Du Juan.

I was watching the reruns of Sex & the City on TV last night and saw Ling Tan in an episode entitled, Real Me where Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) fell on the runway.

Emma Pei Editorial for China Elle, September 2008

The second photo (bohemian cool) in this editorial simply blows my mind. She's one of the most versatile Asian models out there. And super gorgeous too! She has been working in the international fashion scene for a couple of years now but aside from some runway successes in NY, Paris and Milan, she hasn't had much impact outside of China. I think she had one major editorial in (US) Teen Vogue in September 2007 and a couple of multi-model ads for Benetton and Moschino in 2007. In the last year or so, she has been in almost every issue of China Vogue.

Does anyone know if Emma Pei has a huge ad campaign presence in Asia?

I think Zhang Xu Chao is one of the most beautiful Chinese models out there -- check out her beauty shots from an earlier post on here. I was totally blown away by those photos when I first saw them 6 months ago. Then I saw this set from Singapore's Citta Bella, June 2008 and I was blown away. again. I sincerely hope she gets more international exposure and get to do more editorials and runway shows.
